Our Founder and Chief Scientist Yan Xiao was invited to attend 2023 Jinan International Industry Matchmaking Conference for Green, Low-Carbon High-Quality Development

On October 27th, the "2023 Jinan International Industry Matchmaking Conference for Green, Low-carbon, and High-quality Development" with the theme of "Green Development, Win-Win Cooperation" was successfully held in Jinan. Over 200 guests, including representatives from relevant government departments, international organizations, UN agencies in China, and professionals from domestic and international business sectors, collaborated to explore opportunities for cooperation in green and low-carbon industries, fostering an international platform for exchange and collaboration. This event, organized jointly by the China International Chamber of Commerce, the China Council for Sustainable Market Initiatives, and the Shandong Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, is a significant component of the 2023 International Cooperation Conference on Sustainable Development.

Professor Yan Xiao, the founder and Chief Scientist of MS Energy, was invited to attend and deliver a keynote speech titled "Digitalization of Photovoltaic Energy Storage Microgrids from First Principles." In his presentation, Professor Yan discussed numerous challenges and opportunities in the industrialization of electrochemical energy storage, approaching the topic from the first physics principles.

Prof. Yan believes that early detection and fixing of problems is essential in using batteries. For energy storage systems, it is crucial to conduct in-depth inspections at the level of battery cells without relying on battery disassembly. Discovering faults at least one week in advance is also essential. MS Energy's independently developed Prognostic Safety System (PSS) addresses these challenges. The PSS enables deep "cell-level" inspections for battery safety without the need for disassembly, offering a "zero-time cost" health check for lithium batteries. It provides services such as battery health status assessment, battery state calibration, and prediction of remaining battery life, revealing potential risks 7–15 days in advance, scientific advice for operations and maintenance, thereby significantly enhancing the safety of lithium batteries throughout their entire lifecycle. With successful applications at major energy storage stations on national and provincial levels, such as the Minety Energy Storage Project in the UK and the Wanneng Station in Anhui, MS Energy has been awarded the First Prize in the National Grid Science and Technology Progress Awards.

In conclusion, Professor Yan expressed MS Energy's great honor to participate in this conference, engaging with colleagues from various sectors to jointly explore topics related to promoting international cooperation in the field of green, low-carbon sustainable development, fostering the high-quality development of green enterprises, and improving energy utilization efficiency. MS Energy looks forward to the organizers hosting more such conferences in the future, providing opportunities to connect with outstanding forces in the green industry and collaborating to support the construction of green energy systems on the user side.
